§ 20A-1. Town Hall Restoration and Renovation Fund.

A special town fund is hereby created and shall be designated as the "Town Hall Restoration and Renovation Fund," which fund shall be kept separate and apart from all other funds of the town. There shall be deposited into the fund all gifts, grants, devises and bequests accepted by the Town Council from private or public individuals or entities for the purpose of making restorations, renovations or other permanent improvements to the Town Hall building. In the event that a gift, grant, devise or bequest to the town does not specify the purpose to which it shall be devoted, the Town Council shall have the authority to determine which portion if any of the gift, grant, devise or bequest shall be deposited into the fund. Upon appropriation made in accordance with the requirements of law, the moneys in the fund and any interest earned or accruing thereon may be used for the purposes of making restorations, renovations or other permanent improvements to the Town Hall building. No moneys in the fund may be used for the routine maintenance, repair or operation of the Town Hall building.
