§ 22-23. Application for and issuance of permits; fees.

  • The Director of Health shall prepare application forms and shall prepare and issue permits required by §§ 22-21 and 22-22 or by the Connecticut Public Health Code to qualified applicants.
    (a) 
    For the initial installation of private sewage disposal systems for new construction of buildings, the Director of Health shall charge the following fees:
    (1) 
    Single-family, multiple-family and commercial and/or industrial buildings:
    a. 
    Sewage disposal system permit: $250.
    b. 
    Soil testing fee for deep hole and percolation tests: $100.
    c. 
    Engineered plan review fee, per lot: $200.
    (b) 
    For the repair or replacement of private sewage disposal systems for existing construction, the Director of Health shall charge the following fees:
    (1) 
    Single-family, multiple-family and commercial and/or industrial buildings:
    a. 
    Sewage disposal system permit: $125.
    b. 
    Septic tank only: $75.
    c. 
    Soil testing fee: none.
    d. 
    Engineered plan review fee: none.
    (c) 
    For the review of sewage disposal and water supply system plans for feasibility for subdivisions referred to the Director of Health through the New Milford Planning Commission:
    (1) 
    Proposed subdivisions of lots for the purpose of single-family, multiple-family and commercial and/or industrial buildings:
    a. 
    Each lot: $100.
    (d) 
    For inspection and approval of food service establishments, see Chapter 6C.
    (e) 
    For the review and approval of the private sewage disposal system for additions and/or renovations to buildings, the Director of Health shall charge the following fees:
    (1) 
    Single-family, multiple-family and commercial and/or industrial buildings:
    a. 
    Approval requiring a site inspection: $75.
    (f) 
    For the review and approval of each water supply well permit, the Director of Health shall charge the following fees:
    (1) 
    New well (each): $100.
    (2) 
    Redrill, deepen or hydrofracture of existing well or well abandonment (each): $25.
    (g) 
    For the annual relicensing of day-care centers, the Director of Health shall charge the following fees:
    (1) 
    Day-care centers licensed for 12 or more children: $100.
