§ 5-15. Penalty.

(a)
The New Milford Police Department is authorized to issue a written warning to the property owner/occupant of all structures covered by this Article who refuse or neglect to comply with the provisions hereof. The building official will require compliance with this Article as a condition of issuance of a building permit and a certificate of occupancy for covered structures.

(b)
Whoever shall refuse or neglect to comply with this requirement of this Article after receipt of a warning notice shall be fined $10 for the first week and $10 per week until compliance, up to $100. Fine shall be waived if compliance of Article is shown within one week.
